I would like to warn the entire world against unwholesome meditations that can bring great suffering to themselves and other beings. The first one I would like to write about is the Buddhist Metta Bhavana for Others.

Loving-kindness meditation is a very insidious manipulation of energies that looks holy but unfortunately transforms life into suffering and misery. It involves beings sending other beings good, happy wishes of love, joy, and compassion. When this process occurs between people, an energetic connection is being established, and energies flow between them in reality. What's tragic here is that when we connect with another person and wish them to be happy, we take on our own shoulders the suffering that caused them to be unhappy. For example, hatred and existential pain, which - more tragically are then sent to the next person whose life we live well with, as these energies intertwine and travel through the universe. This process can bring happiness when we turn it over to the Infinite Source of love, joy and compassion that is God. God gave me this understanding when I asked Him why I felt difficult emotional states and He showed me the beings I used this technique with. He also showed me in visions that I was carrying luggage that wasn't mine. I remember a time before going to sleep when I made these happy wishes for a friend, and in the morning she called me and said, "I dreamed of you. You were carrying my suitcases, and I felt so light in the morning." When I asked God how to free myself from this luggage, I received the instruction, "Let what is mine return to me, and what is not mine return to where it came from." Another instruction from God was a prayer: "Father, please return all this unhappy karma that I have taken from other beings to where I took it from. Restore to me the goodness and happiness that I gave them."

I know this may sound absurd—how can such a wonderful meditation of pure kindness bring misfortune? Unfortunately, the act of removing suffering from others in this way and taking it upon yourself is unconscious. Because I had previously practiced techniques that gave me unprecedented energetic insight, I was able to sense this subtle process. I definitely don't recommend Metta for others, but I do recommend Metta for myself, as I described in another post.

Don't get me wrong, there's nothing inappropriate with wishing others happiness. It's a beautiful attitude that brings good to others life, it makes us take steps that bring them happiness. However, if you decide to engage in special energy practices to bring happiness, you must be aware of the consequences, according to the laws that govern the Universe. A much better idea is to pray to the Creator - O God, make this person happy, may he/she be happy. Act with love, with desire to make loved ones happy but beware to use tehniques like that to bring happiness.
